Elena Ferro is the third generation of clog makers in her family. Thanks to the combination of leather with clog making, Elena works under the brand eferro to keep alive a traditional job nowadays near to be extinct, making of it her whole life.

For this, she changed the traditional use of a piece made to cover basic needs into a piece adapted to the fashion trends. From alder wood, tanned vegetable and greased colt and cow leather , nails, recycled rubber, polished chrome, staples…

Elena creates a new clog line made with adventurous designs and colours accordingly with the fashion trends, inspired in nature and animal world as we can see in the clogs ”voa mariquiña voa” for which she was awarded with the Premio Artesanía Contemporánea Antón Fraguas, 0n 2010, where the jury recognized the contemporary vision, refreshing and adventurous, proving that tradition and modernity are perfectly compatible.

But at eferro we never stop, and in 2019 we received the National Handicrafts Award at the end of a consolidated work!
